The Scales

Well it has been a lot of time hasn't it. Sorry about being spectacularly bad at uploading things. Had a lot going on moving and getting used to life in London. This is my way of apology. This character is the Scales he isn't good or bad he keeps the balance. Sounds a little over the head of the 1-2's but the plus 4's might. The story is still changing so i can't promise that this guy is ever going to make it in, but he is the one truly original character i have drawn in a while so i though id share him with y'all
. Enjoy!

The Crow

The Crow i drew a while ago and was the first thing i'd been happy about drawing in a long time. I believe its the fact that it was the first bit of intricate work i had done in a long time.I imagine this crow watching someone with a touch of destiny about them. Not a minion, but not a master either. Just a watcher keeping an eye out.

Map for the campaign for drawing

Well i have been quite for a while haven't i. Here is my map for the campaign for drawing. Unfortunately they couldn't use it has they had to add some more events at the last minute but they very kindly printed it out and had it on display at their contributors tea party. Check out there amazing work to keep drawing alive http://www.campaignfordrawing.org/.

21st Century Face-hugger

I saw this photograph on Lonely People with iPads. And was reminded of multitude of scenes from Alien films when the dreaded face hugger strikes. iPads, the 21st Century Face-hugger. Say goodbye to your friends sooner or later an iMac is going to burst out of their chests. Messy.

Sartorialist Sketches

Last year I purchased The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman. Its a quite wonderful book full of people. Being a fashion photographer Schuman captures those people on the street who he felt looked great. Harboring a variety of images containing all different types of styles he started http://www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com/ to collect all of these images together. As part of my plan to get of my arse and start drawing again i started to work from these images last week sketching on my lunch breaks and inking at home. Any way here are some of the first images that i produced. Enjoy!

Why, who is that handsome bookseller?

I felt like experimenting with photoshop and how best to experiment than with yourself. One quick sketch and ink later and i had a the perfect tool to play around with levels of colours and textures. I do hope you all enjoy.
