The Crow i drew a while ago and was the first thing i'd been happy about drawing in a long time. I believe its the fact that it was the first bit of intricate work i had done in a long time.I imagine this crow watching someone with a touch of destiny about them. Not a minion, but not a master either. Just a watcher keeping an eye out.

Sartorialist Sketches
Last year I purchased The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman. Its a quite wonderful book full of people. Being a fashion photographer Schuman captures those people on the street who he felt looked great. Harboring a variety of images containing all different types of styles he started http://www.thesartorialist.blogspot.com/ to collect all of these images together. As part of my plan to get of my arse and start drawing again i started to work from these images last week sketching on my lunch breaks and inking at home. Any way here are some of the first images that i produced. Enjoy!

She plays guitar in some dive bar.....
Since i've been very busy these last weeks working on a map for the http://www.campaignfordrawing.org/ (check them out for news of events and such) I haven't really had time to update with some new images so here you are. I couldn't get the image of this girl playing guitar in some open mike night out of my head. So at 3 in the morn i gave up on sleep and began to scribble so furiously that i wore myself out and collapsed after producing this enjoy.

Character Design for Comic Competion
The Character in question is a young girl who is lost to the world. She wonders around her town and nobody pays attention to her. She pays no attention to but still she wonders what the world is about. In these designs I am trying to get her look right and whether she is a girl of 6, 8, 10 or 12 and i can't really decide. Any and all feedback is welcome.

Grass.
Whether you pronounce it grass with an extended r or grass with the emphasis on the ass part of the sound we all love it. You can walking through thick grass, you can be enveloped by the smell of freshly cut grass or you can sneeze on the grass because like me you suffer from hay fever. But even that cant stop me enjoying its fresh rich green. So i present to you...... Some delightful grass ( however you say it).

Inuit folk tale images
Having finished my major project I thought I'd share some of the images i made for it. Featured are the scene in which we see Kunik the polar bear start fishing and the shot of the Inuit men's fishing net in the sea. these are two images that i really loved producing and tried many different versions of them until i got them just right. I love the way that the cliffs of ice seem dark and foreboding against the open water of the sea.
